Challenge
Sports bars and large restaurants are systems-integration problems disguised as TV-installation jobs. The owner does not want 27 remotes. Staff needs to change content without walking from screen to screen. POS needs dependable connectivity. Guest/staff Wi-Fi has to coexist with operations. Cameras need useful coverage. Audio needs zones that make sense. If each system is installed independently, the site becomes difficult to operate and even harder to troubleshoot.
Network and POS foundation
ATS supported the physical network and POS infrastructure along with wireless coverage required by the hospitality environment. The point was not simply to "have Wi-Fi." The network had to support the systems that run the restaurant.
27-display video environment
Rather than treat each display as an isolated endpoint, the video environment was organized around source distribution and grouped control. Eight cable boxes feed the video switching/distribution environment, allowing staff to route different sources to groups of TVs.
Tablet control
Staff can manage viewing groups from a tablet instead of carrying a stack of remotes or manually changing every display. That operational detail matters more than the TV count: a large AV system is only useful if staff can operate it during a busy shift.
Audio, cameras, and expansion
ATS also supported commercial audio and camera work at the property, along with later expansion needs, allowing the technology environment to evolve without losing continuity from the underlying infrastructure.
Results
The restaurant gained an integrated physical technology environment covering operations, customer experience, AV, connectivity, and security — with a control model staff can actually use.
