Network cabling for moves, adds, and changes

Businesses rarely need a completely new cabling plant every time something changes. Often the need is much more specific. For larger new-build cabling systems, use full commercial structured cabling installation.

PoE cabling for cameras, Wi-Fi, and network devices

Modern commercial networks carry both data and power. Correct cable selection, pathway planning, termination, switch-port planning, and device location all matter when a run will support a PoE camera, access point, phone, or access-control device.

Telecom closet cleanup and remediation

An undocumented telecom closet turns every future service call into detective work. Atkins Tech Solutions can audit existing cabling, trace and identify ports, replace damaged terminations, reorganize patching, and document what remains.

• Identify active and abandoned cabling
• Re-terminate damaged jacks or patch-panel ports
• Correct inconsistent labels
• Remove or separate abandoned patching where appropriate
• Reorganize rack cabling for serviceability
• Document switch-to-patch-panel relationships when scope allows
• Photograph the completed rack and record exceptions

Warehouse and industrial data cabling

Warehouse cabling has different constraints than an office: longer distances, high ceilings, exposed pathways, lift access, equipment traffic, and wireless access points that may be mounted well above the floor.

Fiber links

Fiber is commonly used between MDF and IDF locations, between floors, between buildings, or where distance and bandwidth make copper the wrong fit.
