What restaurants need

Reliable guest Wi-Fi, camera coverage for dining and entries, background music, and clean cabling during renovations or build-outs — plus ongoing IT support for POS and back-office systems.

  • Guest and staff Wi-Fi network separation
  • Dining room and entry camera coverage
  • 70V audio for dining rooms and patios
  • Managed IT for POS and daily operations

POS cabling and opening dates

A good portion of our restaurant work is POS deployments, Toast included. The POS installer arrives expecting live, tested drops at every terminal, kitchen display, and printer — and when that cabling isn't ready, opening slips. We cable the location ahead of the install date and bundle the cameras, Wi-Fi, and sound into the same trip while the ceiling is still open. If you're opening a Toast location, tell your Toast sales rep to contact us and we'll coordinate drop counts and timing with them directly.

  • Terminal, kitchen display, and printer drops cabled and tested
  • POS traffic separated from guest Wi-Fi
  • Cameras and background audio in the same visit
  • Coordinated directly with your POS sales rep and installer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you work after hours?
Atkins Tech Solutions schedules around service hours when the owner needs it so lunch and dinner are not the install window. After-hours labor is a premium and belongs in the quote.
Can guest Wi-Fi stay off the POS network?
Yes. On restaurant UniFi and business Wi-Fi jobs, Atkins Tech Solutions separates guest, staff, and POS onto different SSIDs and VLANs. Payment traffic should not sit on the customer network.
Do you cable new Toast POS locations?
Yes. Toast POS deployments are regular work for Atkins Tech Solutions — terminal, kitchen display, and printer drops, access points, and the network location, finished and tested before the POS installer's date. Owners can have their Toast sales rep contact us to coordinate drop counts and timing directly.
Do you install UniFi in restaurants?
UniFi is Atkins Tech Solutions' usual platform for small and mid-size restaurant Wi-Fi in this market, with PoE access points placed from a survey — not a consumer mesh kit behind the bar.
