Low-Voltage Field Partner for IT & MSP Companies

Physical installs and cabling without competing for the managed services relationship — you keep the client, we handle the field work, and we'll put that in writing.

What is a partner-safe low-voltage field partner?

A partner-safe field partner does the physical install an MSP's client needs without competing for the managed services agreement. Atkins Tech Solutions pulls, mounts, terminates, tests, and documents; the MSP configures, supports, and owns the customer. The boundary is backed by a signed non-solicitation when a partner wants one — and by the plain fact that repeat referral work is worth more than a client taken once.

The core situation

Your client needs new drops, AP mounting, rack cleanup, or camera cabling — but your team configures gear and supports users, not pulls wire through ceilings. You need a field partner who shows up professionally, stays in their lane, and hands off clean work your techs can support on day one.

  • Client expects one technology partner — you need reliable field capacity
  • Remote offices and multi-site rollouts need boots on the ground
  • Messy closets and undocumented cabling slow down your onboarding

What you want from a field partner

You need someone who treats your client like your client — shows up on schedule, communicates before delays, documents every install, and never blurs the line between physical install and managed services.

  • Professional presence on site — your brand stays intact
  • Scope stays in lane — cabling, pathways, cameras, access hardware, AP mounting
  • Labeled, tested, and photographed handoffs for your team
  • Quoting structured so you can mark up and bill through your PSA

Our partner-safe promise — and we'll sign it

We do not pitch managed IT, help desk, or ongoing support to your end customer. We are a low-voltage field partner, not a competitor for the relationship you built. If you'd rather not take that on faith, say so and we'll sign a non-solicitation agreement naming your clients before we set foot on one of their sites. We have no problem with it, and we've never had a reason to hesitate.

  • Signed non-solicitation covering your named clients, executed before the first site visit
  • White-label and partner-safe — we work under your scope and your client communication
  • No upselling managed services at the client site, ever
  • Clear boundaries: we install and document; you configure and support

Why this holds up without the paperwork

We'll sign whatever you want signed, but the signature is the backstop, not the reason. The real reason is simpler: steady work from a partner is worth more to us than any single invoice. An IT company that sends us cabling, camera, and conference room work a few times a year is a far better business than one client taken once and a reputation that follows us around afterward. Eastern Pennsylvania is not a big enough market to burn a partner in — everybody knows everybody, and that cost would never stop being paid. Past that, the fastest way for us to lose you is to make you look bad in front of your own customer. The incentive and the promise point the same direction, which is the only kind of promise worth much.

  • Repeat partner work is worth more to us than one client taken once
  • Small market — a burned partner is a permanent cost, not a one-time one
  • Making you look good in front of your client is how we keep getting called
  • Low voltage is our growth plan; competing for help desk agreements is not

What we actually do on your client's site

Trust is behavior, so here is the behavior. These are the situations where a field partner either protects you or quietly undermines you, and it's worth knowing our answer before you put us in front of somebody you spent years earning.

  • If your client asks us about IT support, we tell them to call you — we don't quote it, and we let you know it came up
  • We communicate through your project or ticket workflow, not around you to the client
  • Admin credentials and controller logins are handed to you — we don't keep a back door on partner jobs
  • Anything we notice outside our scope goes to you, not to your client
  • We show up looking and acting like a professional extension of your company
  • We don't badge, brand, or business-card your client without your say-so

Straight answer on our managed IT listing

You'll see managed IT on our services list, so here is the honest version. We shifted this business from mainly IT toward low voltage a couple of years ago, and low voltage is where our growth is going. We still support a small number of direct IT clients we've had for years, and we keep the capability sharp for a reason that helps you: it means we're more than technical hands on site. We can troubleshoot while your team is remote, configure a switch, or chase down a network issue instead of pulling wire and leaving. Your clients are not a target, and the non-solicitation agreement is how we prove it rather than just saying it.

  • Low voltage is the growth focus — that's where the business is pointed
  • We do not solicit managed IT from any client of a partner we work with
  • On-site technical hands so your remote team isn't blind at the building
  • Willing to put the client protection in a signed agreement, up front

Hand us the survey and take it off your plate

Yes, we have the equipment for wireless site surveys — and we do more than wireless. We survey and plan new spaces and renovations, and we audit existing cable plant when your client hands you a building nobody documented. The way we like to run it is simple: hand it to us and we take the whole thing off your plate. We walk the site, survey it properly, and come back with real documentation — what's there now, what it needs, where the drops and devices go, what the pathway looks like, and what it will take to get it done. Written so you can put it straight in front of your client and make a decision, and priced so there's room in it for you.

  • Wireless surveys: predictive design, on-site validation, post-install verification
  • Coverage heat maps, measured AP counts, and a PoE drop schedule
  • Existing cable plant audits on buildings that arrived undocumented
  • New construction and renovation planning, not just Wi-Fi
  • Documentation written for your client to read, not just for our crew
  • Right-sized recommendations — nobody gets sold what they don't need

Conference rooms and Microsoft Teams rooms

We've been doing a lot of Teams rooms for our MSP partners — Yealink and Logitech equipment. Their clients love them, and it tends to be work the MSP would rather not take on directly, because it's ladders, mounts, millwork coordination, and cable management rather than tenant administration. We build the room; you keep the Microsoft environment, licensing, and support. We do the same for Zoom and Google Meet rooms, and we send your team the resource account and network requirements early so an install never sits waiting on a license.

  • Yealink and Logitech Teams Rooms, plus Zoom and Google Meet rooms
  • Huddle rooms through boardrooms, sized from room depth and table length
  • Displays, cameras, ceiling microphones, and table connectivity
  • Room commissioning and a staff walkthrough — your team keeps the tenant

Revenue opportunities for your practice

Field work your clients already need — scoped so you can add margin without adding headcount.

  • New drops and office moves (MAC work)
  • Rack and telecom closet cleanup
  • AP and camera cabling for Wi-Fi and security projects
  • Access control — a common client ask that most MSPs refer away
  • Microsoft Teams conference rooms
  • Pre-install site surveys and pathway planning
  • Multi-site rollout support with consistent documentation

Or have us bid it and sub underneath you

If a low-voltage job comes across your desk — from a client or anywhere else — have us bid it and sub under you. Several of our partners work exactly that way: they bring us the job, we quote our scope, they add their portion on top and carry the client relationship start to finish. It's a straightforward way to turn work you'd otherwise hand off into revenue for your practice, and your client never deals with a second vendor.

  • You bring the job, we quote our scope, you set the client number
  • You carry the client relationship and the invoice
  • Or we invoice you directly for pass-through billing through your PSA
  • Work you'd normally refer away becomes margin instead

Coverage beyond our home region

Our crew is based in the Poconos and covers Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey directly. We're regularly in Central and Northern PA, including the Williamsport area, and that work tends to come in batches rather than one-offs — so smaller jobs can ride along with a trip we're already making. For small out-of-region calls that can't wait for a batch, we work with technicians we trust so the call still gets covered. Either way you're dealing with us: we scope it, schedule it, stand behind the work, and you get one point of contact and one invoice.

  • Direct crew coverage across Eastern PA and Northern NJ
  • Regular batched trips into Central and Northern PA
  • Smaller jobs scheduled alongside work already on the calendar
  • Trusted technician coverage for out-of-region calls — still one invoice from us

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will you try to steal our managed services client?
No. Atkins Tech Solutions does not pitch managed IT, help desk, or ongoing support to a partner's end customer. You remain the primary technology partner; we handle physical low-voltage work only.
Will you sign a non-solicitation or non-compete agreement covering our clients?
Yes, gladly, and before we set foot on one of their sites. Atkins Tech Solutions will sign a non-solicitation agreement written specifically to your named clients. Send yours or ask us to put one in front of you — we have no problem with it and it costs us nothing to prove the point in writing.
Why should we believe you won't compete with us?
Because the incentive runs the same way as the promise. Repeat work from an IT partner is worth more to Atkins Tech Solutions than any single end client, and Eastern Pennsylvania is a small enough market that a burned partner is a permanent cost rather than a one-time one. Low voltage is where the growth plan is; competing for help desk agreements is not. The signed agreement is available as a backstop, but the business reason is what makes it hold.
What happens if our client asks you about IT support while you're on site?
We tell them to call you. Atkins Tech Solutions does not quote it, does not discuss what we would charge, and lets you know the conversation happened so you're not surprised by it later. The same applies to anything we notice outside our scope — it goes to you, not to your client.
Do you keep admin access to systems you install for our clients?
No. Controller logins, admin credentials, and management access are handed to you at completion. Atkins Tech Solutions does not keep a back door into a partner's client environment, and does not stay in the client's management platform after the work is done.
Will you contact our client directly?
Only in the way you set up. Atkins Tech Solutions works through your project or ticket workflow and communicates with the client on scheduling and site access as you direct — not around you. We don't hand out cards, badge, or brand ourselves to your client without your say-so.
Can we talk to other IT companies you work with?
Ask and we'll connect you. Several IT companies and MSPs use Atkins Tech Solutions as their field partner, and the shortest route to trusting how we behave on a client site is hearing it from someone who has already put us on one.
You list managed IT on your site — is that a core business focus?
No. Atkins Tech Solutions shifted from mainly IT toward low voltage a couple of years ago, and low voltage is where the growth is going. We still support a small number of direct IT clients we've had for years, and we keep the capability because it makes us more useful on your job site — we can troubleshoot while your team is remote, configure a switch, or chase a network issue instead of only pulling wire. We do not solicit managed IT from a partner's clients, and we will sign an agreement saying so.
How do you keep scope from bleeding into our work?
Atkins Tech Solutions scopes cabling, pathways, camera and access hardware install, AP mounting, and Teams room builds. Configuration, VLANs, firewall rules, and ongoing support stay with your team — with documented handoffs so your techs can pick up cleanly.
Do you have the equipment to perform wireless site surveys?
Yes, and the survey work goes beyond wireless. Atkins Tech Solutions surveys and plans new spaces and renovations, then delivers documentation on what exists, what the space needs, where drops and devices belong, and what the pathway requires. It is written for your client to read and priced so there is margin in it for you.
Do you install Microsoft Teams conference rooms?
Yes. Yealink and Logitech Teams Rooms are a growing part of Atkins Tech Solutions' MSP partner work — display mounting, table connectivity, cabling, and room commissioning, with tenant and account configuration left to your team. Zoom and Google Meet rooms are handled the same way.
What kind of wireless survey can you produce for our client?
Predictive design from drawings, measured on-site validation, or post-install verification. The deliverable is a coverage heat map, an access point count with mounting locations, a PoE drop schedule, and a channel and power plan — white-labeled under your project name if you want it that way.
Can we bring you a job and mark it up ourselves?
Yes. Several Atkins Tech Solutions partners work that way: they bring the job, we quote our scope, they add their portion and carry the client relationship and the invoice. Pass-through billing through your PSA also works if you'd rather we invoice you directly.
Can we white-label the install or bill through our PSA?
Yes. Partner pricing is structured for markup and pass-through billing. Atkins Tech Solutions can work under your project name and communicate through your ticket or project workflow.
Can you cover a client site outside your main service area?
Usually. Atkins Tech Solutions covers Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey with our own crew and makes regular batched trips into Central and Northern PA, including the Williamsport area — so smaller jobs can be scheduled alongside a trip already on the calendar. For out-of-region calls that can't wait, we work with technicians we trust. You still get one point of contact and one invoice from us.
What is typical turnaround for partner projects?
Atkins Tech Solutions responds to partner scope requests within one business day. Site surveys and install scheduling depend on location and scope — we communicate timeline up front and proactively if anything shifts.
